Creating Awareness Towards Shark Conservation in South Africa
I will be heading to Gansbaii, South Africa in August 2010 to volunteer for at least one month in conserving the Great White Sharks.
During my time there, I will be trained in White Shark biology, research, behavior, attacks and shark tourism to further create an awareness to the public on how these sharks play an important part in the marine ecosystem. 200,000 Million sharks are killed per year, which we are responsible for (think sharks fin soup!). However, not only will I be studying these magnificent creatures, I will also be researching on the other marine life - dolphins, whales etc. Why should you Pledge, you say? With your support, I will be able to complete my mission and provide invaluable research information to www.savingsharks.com which in turn, will re-educate the world in taking a step to conserve our eco-system. With the extra funding, I will also be visiting rural villages in South Africa and ensuring that the money will be used to provide a sanitized environment for the people. Even a small contribution will go the extra mile towards conserving our environment and living standards...Without your generosity, there's only so much I can do on my own. Thanks for stopping by!
